I was going to do another podcast today on a really cool product that I think has already saved us some decent money, but I've been feeling like crap and just couldn't get motivated (plus, I would've sounded more bizarre than I normally do!).

So while I sat in my Lazy Boy sniffling and snuffling, I worked a bit on some code for the site (it runs on Joomla!) so I could get set up to do some video podcasts, along with the usual audio podcasts.

And, as it so happens, while I was tapping away the doorbell rang: it was the UPS man delivering the Naturemill Automatic Composter! I know you think I'm nuts - especially if you're a fellow suburbanite (or urbanite) like me who's closest contact with gardening is in the produce department at the grocery store.

But I have to confess I'm excited - you should see all the different stuff you can dump into this thing that we don't have to send to the landfill! And that means lower taxes in the long-term, reducing (and potentially eliminating) methane tooting out of the landfills to join the other greenhouse gasses, etc.

So, maybe I've gone crazy, but stick around and see how this conservative nerd does with the composting experience! Ha!
